Last October 16, thieves broke into the church housing the organization and made off with at least $50,000 worth of electronic communication equipment. Those responsible are still at large.
“While more and more Canadians are relying on food banks to survive, this theft has severe consequences on the capacity of Extended Hands to meet the needs of low income households in our riding,” said Morin.
“I also invite my constituents to think about ways they can help Extended Hands on a personal basis to get them through this difficult time.” To do her part, the MP will make a donation to the organization.
“With Christmas approaching, the needs of Extended Hands and all charitable organizations in our riding will be all the more urgent,” said Isabelle Morin.
