Lise Poulin will be running in Lachine
Union Montréal announces its first candidate
The mayor of Lachine and executive committee president, Claude Dauphin, announces that Mrs. Lise Poulin will be running in the next municipal election in the Canal district. Mrs. Poulin will try to succeed to Elizabeth Verge, who recently announced she would be stepping down at the end of her term.
“I am honoured to join Team Tremblay-Dauphin, a group that brings together people of experience, talent, and passion. Union Montréal is diversified, inclusive, and welcomes ideas and debate. Since 2001, Team Tremblay-Dauphin has been working restlessly to better the quality of life of all Montrealers. Without a doubt, this team is best positioned to continue developing and improving our great city”, declared Mrs. Poulin.
Lise Poulin has always been active in her Lachine community. An expert in youth intervention, drug addiction and mental health, Lise Poulin is mostly known and appreciated for her work with youth. A well-determined, driven, and giving person, Mrs. Poulin is a woman of challenge. Between 1984 and 1990, she was spokesperson for the Canadian Association for Muscular Dystrophy – today known as Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
“Mrs. Poulin is an example of determination and commitment. She will bring fresh ideas, concerns, and a new perspective to our party, which will benefit residents of Lachine as well as all Montrealers”, declared Mr. Dauphin.
“Our entire team in Lachine is extremely proud to have Lise Poulin as a candidate in the Canal district. Lise is an extraordinary woman who will bring youth and energy to our team. We have been close to her for several years now and have witnessed how serious and dedicated she is. Lise is a great addition to our team and we are extremely happy to welcome her”, added Mr. Dauphin.
Lise Poulin holds a bachelor’s degree in science from the Université de Montréal. She currently works in the customer service department at Bell Mobility, where she supports a team of representatives and deals with client complaints. She will officially become candidate on April 26th, when Union Montréal’s Lachine borough holds its convention.
