Councillor Elizabeth Verge will take up new challenges after November
Borough Councilor for the district du Canal in the Borough of Lachine, Ms. Elizabeth Verge, will not run for a second term in the next municipal election.
"I have proudly represented Lachine citizens for nearly 4 years now. At this stage, I wish to devote all my time to my family and to my profession as a pharmacist. I will however continue to serve the people of Lachine with dedication and energy until the end of my term and continue to do so in the future .", declared Ms. Verge.
"I would like to thank the citizens who gave me their trust in 2005 and would like to reiterate that it has been an honor for me to represent Union Montreal party at the Lachine Borough Council. The Mayor of Montreal and chief of Union Montréal, Gérald Tremblay, is a model of integrity and leadership and I will remain loyal to the party. To me, Union Montreal is the only party capable of confronting the numerous challenges of our city".
“I am particularly proud of the progress made in the environmental sector, for which I am responsible in Lachine, and of the advances the borough has made in this area, thanks to the collaboration of my elected colleagues, the Administration and the citizens of Lachine”.
Elizabeth Verge wishes to thank and acknowledge the work of her Lachine colleagues. "It has been a privilege to be part of such a talented team and I will be involved as an active member to support the Tremblay-Dauphin Team", added Ms. Verge.
Ms. Verge wishes to specify that following the April 26th general convention in Lachine, she will support without reserve and will campaign with the person designated to replace her by the party members.
