“Horsepower” at the Dorval Museum until August 31

Return to a time when horses reigned on Dorval’s farmlands and food, fuel and other commodities were delivered to your doorstep by horse and wagon. Imagine a trip in a horse-drawn stagecoach, from Dorval to Kingston, along the King’s Way, a dirt road we now know as Lakeshore Drive. Breathe in the smell of the leather saddles and harnesses on exhibit in the Museum’s restored stables – once the exclusive property of the members of the Forest and Stream Club. Relive the excitement at the starting gate of the Dorval Jockey Club racetrack where today stands the Pierre-Trudeau International Airport.

The Dorval Museum of Local History and Heritage, located at 1850 Lakeshore Drive in Dorval, is open from Thursday to Sunday from 1pm to 5 pm. The entrance is free, and the Museum is accessible to all. The exhibition continues until August 31st.
