Dorval Library Reading Buddies

Reading Buddies pairs trained teen volunteers with younger beginner readers (Grades 1-4) to participate in one-on-one reading, and other activities such as word games, writing and talking about books.

“Buddies” are carefully matched to encourage a rapport and fun-filled meetings. The pairs will meet for one 45 minute session per week, over six weeks. All sessions are held at the Library under the supervision of Library staff.

Reading Buddies begins the week of June 23rd. Volunteers must apply by May 23rd. Application forms are available at the Dorval Library, located at 1401 Lakeshore Drive, as well as on the website: city.dorval.qc.ca (Click Leisure & Culture/Library/Teens).
