Series of community kitchens in West Island

Friday, May 23: St. John Fisher Church, 120 Summerhill, Pointe-Claire, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Due to rising costs, participants are asked to pay a $2 participation fee. The kitchens are open to the community at large. For more information or to register in advance, please call 514-694-5850.

West Island Citizen Advocacy will be holding a fundraising plant sale on Saturday, May 24 from 9 a.m. to noon at Westmount Florist, 343 Lakeshore Rd.

Horticulturalist Mary Martin will be presenting a demonstration on composting, from 10 a.m. to noon.
