“Making New Connections”
The West Island Women’s Centre, an agency supported by Centraide, is offering a program for immigrant women. “Making New Connections” is a free program offered on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. beginning on November 4, 2008.
Designed specifically for women who have recently arrived in Canada, the programme will cover a number of topics including employment, the Quebec school system, health care, transportation, parenting, and activities and services available on the West Island. Participants will receive practical information and share their experiences. Free childcare for pre-school-aged children will be provided.
