Evacuation exercise at the Maison Donalda-Boyer in Dorval
As part of Fire Prevention Week, the Maison Donalda-Boyer, a residence for self-sufficient seniors and senior with light loss of autonomy located in Dorval, held an evacuation exercise on October 17, 2008.
Educational firefighters André Michaud and Luce Laflamme of the Centre opérationnel nord – Région 3 of the Montreal Fire Department were on hand also to raise awareness about fire hazards in the lives of seniors and to inform them about safe habits to adopt in their everyday activities.
The firefighters were very pleased with the participation of the residents who successfully evacuated the residence in less then five minutes during the evacuation exercise.
