J.J. Cardinal Funeral Salon to offer complete funeral services

With the expansion work in progress, the J.J. Cardinal funeral salon will have a large chapel, a new interior columbarium, reception halls that can accommodate large numbers of people, better service areas, larger rooms and vestibules and of course…a higher degree of comfort.

“With this expansion, families that engage our services can obtain the needed service and support on-site in their most difficult period of bereavement”, said the co-owner of the Dorval funeral home, Jean-Charles Cardinal.

“The availability of all these services in the premises represents advantages for families and their loved ones, Jean-Charles Cardinal added. One of these advantages is the ability to minimise the need to go from one place to another. This is a unique advantage especially for seniors and for those with limited mobility – this group now constitutes a growing segment of people who visit our funeral homes.”

“Moreover, thanks to the integration of a crematorium and a columbarium, the J.J. Cardinal Funeral Salon will be able to offer families a comprehensive package of funeral services”, Mr. Cardinal explained. The cremation will take place in a more discrete area which majority of funeral salons do not have. The niche can be done at any time and without having to worry about the weather. It will also be possible for people to attend the cremation service in a private viewing room. The salon offers greater flexibility, better facilities and more conveniences during the entire funeral ritual, particularly when it comes to choosing cremation, and adapting funeral services to the requirements and traditions of all cultures and religions”, Jean-Charles Cardinal explained further.

Mr. Cardinal confirmed that the Résidences J.J. Cardinal have not spared any effort in ensuring that the new facilities are in harmony with environmental concerns of the village of Dorval. He insisted that the architectural design – accepted and approved by the Dorval’s Urban Department – took into account the visual aspect for Dorval Village.

“As to the cremation process, the funeral salon uses the most sophisticated technology. Its performance even exceeds existing environmental standards. J.J. Cardinal has even done some forward planning in that its facilities will comply with the requirements being envisaged by the Quebec government which are more rigorous than present standards.”
