We were delighted to be able to extend our pool hours and hope that our members enjoyed an extra week our pool was opened.

Please note next week we will have a full list of all the results from our awards night and want to congratulate everyone who participated in our many events and joined us in our memorable summer.

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Lakeside Academy students: Arielle de Pagter, Lisa Hanash, Vandana Patel and Amanda Jane Tilson. Their projects will be part of the International Baccalaureate for 2009 publication entitled 50 Excellent Personal Projects. These same 4 projects were sent to Cardiff in the UK as samples for the moderation process last March. Congratulations once again and we wish them the best of luck in their future studies.

A note of interest: Lakeside Academy is being used to film a movie entitled “the Trotsky” an English Canadian project produced by Park Ex Pictures (Bon Cop, Bad Cop). The script written by Jacob Tierney, takes place in the world of students. Lakeside Academy will for a moment be an important character in the story. Filming has already begun and will continue over the weekends of September 20 and 21st, 27th and 28th between 7am and 8pm. What excitement for lakeside!
