The City of Dorval will give out compost, free of charge on Saturday, May 17, 2008, to residents in the parking lot of the Dorval Arena (1450 Dawson Avenue), between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., or while stocks last.
Compost Distribution in Dorval
On Saturday, May 17, 2008, concurrently with the Horticultural Society Annual Plant Sale and with the help of Scouts, the City of Dorval will give out compost, free of charge, to residents.
The event will take place in the parking lot of the Dorval Arena (1450 Dawson Avenue), between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., or while stocks last.
A maximum quantity of 200 litres of compost per residence will be given out, or the equivalent of four blue recycling boxes. Residents must bring their shovel and their own solid containers or resistant bags. The resident card or other proof of residency will be mandatory.
Note that household composters will also be sold on site for $35 each (tax included), and that the Dorval Horticultural Society will hold its Annual Perennials Sale from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. An information booth on horticultural and environmental subjects, as well as a rechargeable battery recycling kiosk will also be on hand.
