Pierre Morin arena unites hockey legends and Europe
Highly respected hockey players will be on the rink at the Pierre “Pete” Morin arena in the next few weeks. On April 20, the hockey legends will be in action to raise funds for volunteer organisations. Eight days later, Belarus and Italy will compete against each other in line with the world championship of the International Ice Hockey Federation.
For the match featuring the hockey legends, the public will get the chance to see the line-up of grey-haired hockey players as well as ...the not so grey-haired. Beginning at 2:00 pm, Lafleur, Richer, Lambert, Momesso and others will appear in the scene and when the matches begin, the audience will no doubt be delighted and impressed by the skating skills and the agility that these legends have always been known for. Organised by the Lachine Hockey Association, the event will feature activities where the public will be invited to participate.
Foreign hockey players in Lachine
Another major event will unfold on April 28 when Belarus and Italy will meet each other at 7 pm for a non-competition match. The Belarus hockey players will train in the arena beginning April 23 between 10 :00 am and 1 :00 pm. To welcome them, a Belarus evening will be organized by the 12 Bar&Grill restaurant. Then on April 24 beginning at 6:00 pm, everyone will be invited to mingle with the professional players and discover another culture.
