The borough of Lachine is unique on the island of Montreal. The gateway to the Lachine Canal, it offers a privileged view of Lake St. Louis and its shores.

The borough of Lachine is made up of three districts: du Canal, J-Émery-Provost and Fort-Rolland. The borough mayor is Claude Dauphin and Montreal city councillor Jane Cowell-Poitras joins him representing Lachine at Montreal city council. Borough councillors are Elizabeth Verge (du Canal), Bernard Blanchet (J.-Émery-Provost) and Jean-François Cloutier (Fort-Rolland).
Borough council meetings
Borough council meetings are usually held the second Monday of the month in the council room of the borough hall, on the second floor of the building at 1800 St. Joseph Blvd. At these meetings, citizens can voice their concerns directly to their elected representatives.
Citizen Saturdays
Saturdays, from 9 to 11 a.m., the mayor and the borough's councillors meet with of citizens of Lachine.
Appointments aren't necessary, but if you have limited mobility, you sould phone in advance for an appointment by calling 514-634-3471 ext. 220, Monday to Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 to noon.
