Chess Camp in Dorval

The bilingual program, for youth 6 to 13 years of age, takes place every afternoon from 13:00 to 17:00. The program rotates hourly, alternating between chess and pool activities, and chess and outdoor games.

The program aims to develop observation, concentration and judgement. Participants are divided into two groups which are led by recognized specialists from the Chess’n Match Association. Participants face a variety of challenges – playing with different partners, playing by team, playing against the clock and solving the different game situations they are given.

The clinics are offered at the Dorval Arena, 1450 Dawson Avenue, near Walters Aquatic Centre and the 202 bus stop.

Registration is $85.00 for residents and $95.00 for non-residents (pool fee is extra for those without an aquatic membership) and is currently being accepted at the Sarto Desnoyers Community Centre, 1335 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval. Registration is limited. First come, first served.
