Meals on Wheels, Western Lachine is in great need of assistant cooks to peel vegetables or bake a dessert, and deliverers (who team with a driver) to bring hot meals to our seniors in Lachine. The West Island Women’s Centre will be offering an eight-week support group for women to help them deal with their aging parents. This charitable organization has existed since 1986 and provides help to a growing number of people in need in our community. Since its beginning, thoughs of hot meals have been served to recipients and many food baskets have been distributed.
