This event was celebrated in fine style as the Mayor of Dorval, Edgar Rouleau, and his team of councillors joined the Dorval Municipal Golf Club Committee in welcoming the community on this momentous occasion.
Mr. David Maloney, Golf Club President, in his opening remarks acknowledged the fine collaboration which had been essential to the completion of the project.
After enjoying 48 years in a “temporary” clubhouse, the Club is very proud of its beautiful new clubhouse, which will serve the community for many years.
Over one hundred people joined the members of Council and Municipal Golf Club committee members and staff for the inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Honoured guests included Marlene Jennings, Liberal Member of Parliament, and Peter Yeomans, former mayor of the City of Dorval.
Participants enjoyed Mayor Rouleau’s closing remarks, during which he noted with pride the excellent cooperation between the Committee members, City Council members and City employees, which contributed greatly to the success of the project.

Sunday, October 5, 2008 marked the official opening of the new Dorval Municipal Golf Club clubhouse.
